I am making my own guitar hero game with game maker. i need to time the beats of songs properly, but i can’t figure out how. For instance, I need to be able to record that a certain syllable occurs at 123 milliseconds, etc. Is their a program that can help me break down the notes of a song or play it very slowly and time it?

My favorite hero would probaly be either Batman or Indiana Jones, and my favorite villain is hands down Heath Ledger’s Joker lol. What are your picks?
