What do you consider the characteristics of a real hero? How do these characteristics differ from some popular ideas and beliefs about what makes a hero? How are they similar to these popular beliefs?
I’m writing an essay on how the character Guy Montag in Fahrenheit 451 is a romantic hero, but I seem to have lost my sheet that states the major characteristics of a romantic hero, and they essay is due tomorrow. If I don’t write this essay tonight, I fail my junior english class. So, if anyone knows the chracteristics of a romantic hero, and possibly how they relate to Montag in Fahrenheit 451, you could very possibly save my grade.

So, I’m having a hard time finding any resources that tell me, definitively, what qualifies a character as a tragic hero. I’ve seen the Wiki article, but I’m hoping that someone out there will be able to direct me to more sources.
