Syrup talks about the new Monk class in the WoW Expansion: Mists of Pandaria. Text version: * Monk is the New Class – Brewmaster – Tank spec – Mistweaver – Healer, a healer who can stand up in melee and will let players experience a “new healing style” – Windwalker – Melee DPS – This is not a hero class, and it will start at level 1 – The class is very martial-arts based – Lots of monk-only animations, the healer and tanks will have different stances they can stand in, etc … – Monk Races – All of them except Goblin and Worgens * Monk Equipment – Leather Armor (Agility or Intellect) – They hit a lot with hands and feet – They will need weapons for some finishers: Staves, Fist Weapons – They will also be able to use 1H Axe and maces, swords – Healers will get off-hands, they don’t want healers to use shields. * Monk Resources -Chi (energy) slowly regenerates and is only used for your Jab and Roll abilities. – Jab generates Light and Dark force, which are used for everything else. – Some finishing move uses dark force, some use the light force. – No auto attack! My problem is that this once joke race is that has been ignored for almost a decade now super serious business and is apparently the key to Azeorth’s survival
Which quite frankly came right the fuck out of nowhere
And as far as the Kung Fu panda argument goes, KFP might not have invented chinese architecture but you know they are going make jokes about it

@Anthony13USA first off, you sound a little bit mad, and what mmo is going to compete with WoW? titan, thats it, swtor will have a couple million subscribers (most of which play wow and will play both of them) but just because the expansions going to be overall a shitty lore standpoint the raids might be decent (although judging by how amazing dragon soul was thats doubtful) the expansions going to suck and i in no way said it “ruined” wow, use your brain, i know its there somewhere

@Anthony13USA this was not meant to be a joke, this expansion IS a joke, listens to their fans? i haven’t seen this much negative feedback about the other 3 expansions, of course i will play it but the overall lore scheme is the worst yet.

Because its just way to late for people to care anymore the hype for panda class/race died since the start of wotlk.. as you said blizz finally listen well its a bit late for that. TBC was the golden age for WoW after that all gone to shit. MOVE ON PEOPLE.. it was a epic game and nothing compares to it yet BUT its just so repetitive and time consuming. you know what people check out Guild wars 2 might bring back the adventure in mmorpg and No monthly fees! i hope it kicks wow ass seriously

Why are all of you saying ‘This is gnna be shit’ ???? Its clearly gunna be the fix to Cataclysm. Cata made alot of subcribers leave but MoP was made to fix that. You subcrbers have been asking for a panda class since Vanilla and now that Blizzrd finaly listen to you, you throw it back in their face.

for the people that think its inspired by kung fu panda or an outright copy of it, if you ever played warcraft 3 the brewmaster is actually a mercenary you hire as a hero with skills towards dodge an crit lots of health. awesome combo move where you throw alcohol at your enemy to disorient them and then spit fire lke a boss to ignite the alc on them
