@mooglisxbg67000 Sometimes microphones are issued at different volumes to ensure all are heard. For example we have a young lady on our choir with a very beautiful but soft alto voice and we also have a soprano whose voice carries. So each person is given a microphone set at different volumes so that each person is heard and it meshes well together.
