The only way you’re getting free songs other than the ones already on the disc are if there’s some free downloadable content on Xbox Marketplace or the PSN Store. Well that and a nifty little feature called “GH Tunes”, which allows you to download songs other players have created. The only problem with that is should a player figure out how to put a full song from the music creator onto GH Tunes, and by “full” I mean a licensed song (i.e. Bullet For My Vallentine’s “Scream Aim Fire”) they tend to get pulled from GH Tunes for copyright infringement. It’s just complicated bullcrap. But to be honest, you’re better off just shelling out the 5 bucks or so to get track packs.
