I’m thinking about buying an xbox 360 and getting the new guitar hero world tour. Was just wondering whether or not the new controllers will work with older games such as rock band 1 and guitar hero 3?

they say it will, since the guitar controller does but i’m not really sure about the others… i guess it will because they both have the same developers to avoid buying a guitar controller twice. have fun anyway… ^^

Yes you can because the old guitar hero guitars work for Rock Band 1 and 2 and this guitar is the basically the same things as the Les Paul controllers for GH3 the only thing different is that it has the touch slider bar for easy hammer ons and pull offs but guitar hero 3 and rock band 1 and 2 don’t need that feature so why shouldn’t it work for those games? the only thing you have to worry about is getting the right guitar for the right system, other than that you go to go. So to recap YES IT Will.

If it wouldn’t, then all those big companies would get half the money!I have an Xbox360, and I got Rockband 1, and the Guitar Hero III as well as the Guitar Hero II controllers work perfectly alright. I’ll post a link here to a perfect website where they have a really good chart about it thats way easy to read. I’m happy too! I want to play Guitar Hero 4 but I am getting Rockband 2 bundle, and guess what: they work perfectly well with each other! Check it out!

Yes, why wouldn’t activision make their guitars backward compatible. Rock band 2’s Peripherals are going to work with guitar hero games, too.
