She’s doing something different–what she wants to do.
Look at her performances of Emotions and Hero in her latest concert, they’re almost as good as this video. (granted, that was 16 years ago, she’s lost some of her voice since then.)
Also listen to “100%” on youtube–it’s a GREAT vocal, and is sort of a return to form for Mariah Carey. It was just released a few days ago.

I appreciate your comment, b/cuz my sons and I remember this song skating. I think they will sing this at my funeral. This touches my heart and I have melencholy memories of their youth. I love this song.

Though I will add that some of her newer songs are catchy.. She got famous because of the soul, not because of the body. I hope she realizes that heart is more important then material things and showing alot of her body..

i agree…but i do respect her for that too…because instead of being like whitney houston and staying with formulaic career choices, she broke away and made her career HER career, now im not saying every move she made was smart, but it was right to her.
